eNCA was launched on air on the 1st of June 2008. The TV channel is owned by e.Sat TV and headquartered in Johannesburg. It was known as eNews Channel until 19 August 2012 as it was rebranded as eNCA. The name stands for eNews Channel Africa. The programming grid is entirely dedicated to news shows, inluding breaking news and business news. Its broadcast is also available outside South Africa, mostly on the DStv platform on channel 403.
