Iraq TV Online Channels

The first Iraqi television station was founded in 1979 and was known as Iraqi TV. It was aimed to promote the Saddam Hussein absolutist government. The broadcast consisted of propaganda programs, patriotic music and informational programs promoting and supporting the government. The second national channel, Qanaat Al-Shabaab, was launched only in 1994 featuring movies and music, mostly from the Western countries, but the content was edited before it was aired in order to better suit the needs of the government. After the invasion of Iraq in 2003. a lot of new channels were launched, feeding the need of information of the Iraqi people.
