Monte Carlo TV went live on 23 April 1961 as the second channel in the country following Saeta TV Channel 10. It switched to color broadcast in 1981 and was the first station in Uruguay to use digital broadcast technologies. It continued its development by using HD equipment since 2011 and also do 3D broadcasts.
