Ttv (Tumaini Television) started its test broadcast on 21 February 2009 and went officialy live on 30 January 2009. The TV channel is being owned and operated by Tumaini Media, the media arm of the Archdiocese of Dar es Salaam. Tumaini Media was established in 1994 as it Radio Tumaini went on air. Ttv terrestrial transmission covers the Coast and Dar es Salaam areas. Its transmission tower is located at Kisarawe. Ttv is a non commercial TV channel. The terrestrial live broadcast is available on channel 25 VHF.
