Da Ai TV started its live broadcast on 1 January 1998. It was initially created as a television show called Tzu Chi World in December 1995. The channel is available in North America, Australia and New Zealand since 10 October 1999. Due to the increasing popularity, the signal became also available in Central Europe, South America and Africa in 2000. The programming grid is dedicated to the whole family. The channel is financed by sponsorship, donations and volunteers, since no commercial ads are broadcasted, except public service ads.
