TV9

TV9 started its live broadcast on 22 April 2006 as a successor of Channel 9. The TV channel is being owned and operated by Media Prima Berhad, established in September 2003. The company also operates TV3, NTV7, 8TV and TV9 as well as 3 radio stations. The original programming grid of Channel 9 included news, Hindi Movies and various Tamil productions. Due to financial problems the TV channel ceased broadcast on 1 February 2005 and Media Prima Berhad aquired 98% of the stocks. The TV channel was reorganized and relaunched in April 2006 as TV9. It is available terrestrial free to air analog on channel 33 VHF but also on satellite platforms such as Astro. You may also watch the live stream on the official website.
