RTK 1

RKT 1 started its live broadcast on 19 September 1999 owned by the Kosovo public broadcaster RTK. The initial broadcast was available only via satellite signal, since it was established shortly after NATO ended the bombing of Yugoslavia and most of the terrestrial transmitters were destroyed. Today it is widely available nationwide on analog terrestrial signal. The programs are mainly aired in the Albanian language but the channel also offers broadcasts for minorities, available the the Serbian, Turkish, Bosnian or Romany languages. The programming grid is mostly dedicated to news, informative programs, debates and also features sessions of the Kosovo Parliament.
