DD Sports

DD Sport went live in 8 March 1999, owned and run by Dorrdarshan. Owned by the government, the channel is free to air being the only one of its type (although it was available by subscription between 2000 and 2003) since all other sports channel are only available on subscription. It became available via satellite signal since 1 June 2000. The schedule covers domestic sport events like Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, international ones like cricket, tennis soccer, golf as well various sport related programs.
