Phoenix

Phoenix is a public TV channel which started its live transmission on 7 April 1997. It is operated by ARD and ZDF and its programming grid mostly consists of news and informational programs as well as politics, reportage and documentaries. Most of the programs are simulcasts or were previously aired on other channels of the ARZ and ZDF networks. It is part of the basic subscription package of the cable network Kabel Deutschland and is also available digital terrestrial in some areas and nationwide via satellite signal.
