EinsPlus went on air on 29 August 1997 as EinsMuXx. It is part of the ARD digital bouquet. The channel was relaunched with news image and design on 23 April 2005 and was rebranded as EinsPlus. The programming grid is focused on educational, cultural and science programs most of them being ARD productions. It features reportage, magazines, documentaries and news.
