Alo TV went live on 27 December 1992. The broadcast is mainly dedicated to music videos and related interactive shows. The channel also features local news programs, mostly on Saturday and Sunday. Since its popularity increased, the channel expanded its coverage, and apart from the regional broadcast in the Tartu region only, it became available on cable in other areas in 2009.
