DK4 started its live broadcast on 1 December 1994. The channel was founded by Stig Holbøll Hasne. He sold the channel to Tritel Investments Inc in 2006 and bought it back in October 2007. The programming grid is dedicated to old movies, most of the from 1930-1940, sports, magazines, news and entertainment.
