Teletica went on air on 6 May 1961. It was founded by Carlos Manuel Reyes Zamora and Rene Picado Esquivel. The station was called Televitica during the 2 years of experimental broadcasts from 1969 to 1961. It is owned and opetrated by the government. Teletica also features a high definition version since 15 May 2010. The schedule consists of news, information, education, entertainment, series and movies.
