bTV transmitted live for the first time on 1 June 2000, using the transmitters of BNT. It is the first private television channel in Bulgaria, owned by bTV Media Group, a subdivision of Central European Media Enterprises. It is the channel with largest audience in Bulgaria. bTV is available terrestrial, on all cable networks and via satellite signal throughout Europe.
