BBS TV began broadcasting live on 2 June 1999. The channel is owned by the public broadcaster in Buthan, Buthan Broadcasting Service. BBS is the only provider for radio and television in Buthan. BBS TV is available terrestrial and via satellite signal since 2006. Main programming consists of news, documentaries and entertainment shows.
